Here, on YouTube is an excellent talk to listen to for improving your English. Alan Watts speaks for 12 minutes about what is wrong with the world. He has an English accent, and has excellent pronunciation and intonation. You can watch this with the captions on too.

The Time Keeper, by Mitch Albom is a good book for people learning English. The sentences are short, and the grammar is fairly simple.
